[edit] Overview

Stylish is a Mozilla extension to help manage user stylesheets.

There are many user submitted user stylesheets available at userstyles.org.

Compatible with Mozilla Firefox 1.5 – 3.0a9 and Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5 - 3.0a1.

[edit] Installing Stylish

Go to this page and click on "Install Now". It's going to warn you about possible evildoers who want to install things, but wait until it lets you click on the "Install" button. You'll have to restart your browser after it installs.

[edit] Adding styles

[edit] In General

  1. In Mozilla Firefox, go to Tools->Extensions; select "Stylish" and click the "Preferences" button at the bottom of the Extensions window. You can also get to the window by clicking on the paper and paintbrush icon at the bottom right of your browsing window and selecting "Manage Styles" from the menu that appears.
  2. Click the "Add" button in the "Manage Styles" window that pops up.
  3. In the window that pops up, put the desired styling in the big text box.
  4. In the one line text box at the top of the window, type in a title to name this style.
  5. Click the "Save" button and then click "OK" on the Manage Styles window.

[edit] For a specific site or page

  1. You can get to the "Write Style" submenu from the main menu Tools->Stylish; or by clicking on the paper and paintbrush icon at the bottom right of your browsing window.
  2. "For this URL" will make a style template for ONLY the page you are on. There also will be an option for the main domain you are on, and if you are on a subdomain, for that subdomain.
  3. In the window that pops up, put the desired styling in the big text box between the braces "{ }".
  4. In the one line text box at the top of the window, type in a title to name this style.
  5. Click the "Save" button and then click "OK" on the Manage Styles window.
