ljArchive is not quite a LiveJournal client, but it is close. It is an open source program.
It runs on Microsoft Windows and requires the .NET framework to be installed. It is reportedly compatible with the Mono framework, but no instructions have been found on how to compile it outside of Windows. If you know how to do this, please add that information to this article!
It allows downloading of your journal and any community. You may download comments from a community that you maintain.
