InsaneJournal runs on the LiveJournal Server software.

To create an account, InsaneJournal requires a unique username, a password, a valid email address, for the user to be at least 13 years of age, acceptance of their Terms of Service, and completion of a CAPTCHA test.


InsaneJournal offers all of the LiveJournal S2 layouts, including the ones that are specific to LiveJournal.com.

Syndicated Accounts can be friended by any user. They can only be created by Paid Accounts.
