I Like Plus Except for the Advertisements

If you look around communities like [info]lj_ads or the posts announcing Plus accounts, you can find feedback that talks about how great the Plus account is. Except for the advertisements. Any way to get rid of them? Oh wait, except not by changing back ([info]no_lj_ads) to Basic, because I need the extra icons.

Variations include people surprised changing their accounts to Plus put advertisements on their journals (even back when Plus was called Sponsored+).
